Contemporary
These games are set more or less around the time of the game's release, e.g. a 1980s game with an environment and objects typical of that time. It can be used in combination with a game group like Setting: 1980s. The exact year or time period does not necessarily need to be specified. Minor fantasy or science fiction elements are allowed if most of the setting is still contemporary. When there are no elements that are typical of the contemporary time period, they are vague or the period is too broad, the genre should not be used.
