Back Gammon
Description
Back Gammon is a computer version of the board game of the same name. This version supports a single human player against the computer opponent. The objective of the game is to move all his fifteen pieces off of the board before the opponent does. This involves moving the pieces in a set pattern according to the numbers on the two dice to win all the pieces. If the player gets a double number, that number can be used four times. The player moves his pieces from A to X, and the opponent's piece goes from X to A. Pieces cannot be placed on a spot where two or more of the opponent's pieces are placed, and if there are no available dice numbers, the player passes. If the opponent's piece is moved to a spot where there is only one, it is a hit and the opponent's piece is moved to the bar. If there is a piece on the bar, its not possible to move another piece unless the player moves the piece back from the bar.
A few years later an improved version of the game was published under the name Backgammon Excellent. Now the CPU's thinking routine has been strengthened, the game can be played in one or two player mode, and the difficulty level can be selected.
