Dominoes For Windows
Description official description
Dominoes For Windows is a computer version of the Dominoes variant "Sniff". Players compete across a series of rounds, trying to be the first to exceed a minimum score.
During each round, players extend the chain of dominoes on the table by placing dominoes from their hand on either of the chain ends; dominoes can only be placed next to pieces with matching dot numbers. The first time a double-sided domino (with same dot number on both ends) is placed during a round, it becomes a Sniff, and it can be used as a starting point for two additional chain branches. A player gains points when the number of dots on all the chain ends adds up to a multiple of 5. When a player empties his entire hand, he receives bonus points, the table is cleared and the next round begins.
The game offers three difficulty levels for the computer opponent, an autoplay (computer vs computer) option, an advise option that suggests a move, and a few minor rule variations.
Later versions of the game add a second Dominoes variant, "Fives & Threes", and the option of a domino set with up to nine dots.
