Description official description

Warrior's Way is a simple strategy game for the Nintendo 3DS, where the player faces off against a variety of opponents in a series of "rock, paper, scissors" battles. The player's army is split up into three units: cavalry (rock), archers (scissors), and infantry (paper). The player is allowed to allocate troops between these three divisions, adjusting size as desired. Battles are three rounds long. For each round, the player chooses the unit they want to attack and then the results are decided not only based on the classic rock > scissors > paper > rock paradigm, but also on the size of each army, with bigger being better. It is possible for a player to overcome a type disadvantage by sheer numbers. Other factors may influence the battle, such as ground conditions and "special" opposing troop types like berserkers and ninjas.

The game is a StreetPass Mii Plaza game, using StreetPass tags collected by the player's system as an integral part of gameplay. Each tag that the player collects is an "army" that the player encounters; the size of the army is determined by the number of StreetPass encounters the other player has had. Players who do not have the game are merely friendly generals with armies that the player adds to their existing troops, while players who also own the game appear as rival Monarchs that the player then has the option of greeting peacefully or attacking. Should the player choose to attack and then triumph in battle, they capture troops from the opposing army. However, if the opposing army is much larger than the player's army, the player may greet them peacefully but still receive troops as a gesture of a goodwill from the more powerful player.

Once the greeting/attacking phase of the game is over, the player then proceeds to the main plot of the game, where they are a Monarch seeking to conquer and unite the world. There are 20 countries that the player may conquer, with different leaders, different opposing troop attributes/abilities, and a gradual increase in troop strength. Some countries contain natural resources that the player may then use to upgrade their castle, increasing its rank and appearance. There are three different castle types: Medieval, Futuristic, and Shogun.

Should the player conquer all twenty countries, they won't get long to enjoy their good fortune: they lose control of all the conquered countries, but maintain control of their massive army, meaning they can conquer the world (that is, replay the game) once more.
