Tenya Wanya Teens

Tenya Wanya Teens is a party game only available as an installation at live videogame events. It is played with two players who each have a controller with sixteen buttons. A gameplay session consists of several fixed screen environments where the two characters are shown using a side view. These environments are only shown briefly and then scroll into a new scene. Each player uses a joystick to move the character freely around the environment. In each scene different situations are shown. The players need to press the right button to perform actions that are appropriate for that situation.

The creator describes it as a "coming-of-age tale about love, hygiene, monsters and finding discarded erotic magazines in the woods" and a game about "trying desperately to not say or do the wrong thing at the wrong time". Each scene presents a new situation. For instance, when a math problem is shown, the player can press a button to answer it and score points. Only a small number of actions are available at the start, but gradually more are introduced such as farting, peeing, saying "I love you", clawing at salmon, brushing your teeth, pulling out a guitar to "rock out", punching, posing, acting like a grizzly bear etc.

Actions are color-coded and they correspond with the LED-lit colored buttons on the controller. Sometimes multiple buttons have the same action assigned to it, sharing a color, but the color pattern is not fixed. Often the actions and colors are switched making it impossible for the player to remember where it is located. This leads to a concept of competitive awkwardness as player rush their actions and perform embarrassing actions by choosing the wrong button.

The game debuted at the 2013 Game Developers Conference.
