How to Win
Official Description (Ad Blurb)
How to Win is an anarchic adventure game where players get to decide the rules of play.
You decide what our game is about, and what you need to do to win.
Do we win by... Slaying the Dragon? Making the Most Money? Having the Most Fun? It's up to you.
All of the big decisions are put straight to our players. Then your suggestions for what should happen next go out to a public vote. Whichever you choose, that's what happens next. Whatever that might be.
Player choices so far include:
- Invest all our money in a potato-based pyramid scheme.
- Bring to life a monster drawn by a 5-year-old.
- Throw a major character unceremoniously into a volcano.
- Ignore everything thatās happened, and go and join the circus.
It's what you asked for, and that's what we made. You still have the chance to change the rules of our world.
Created during the UK COVID lockdown by multi-award winning theatre company Hidden Track, teaming with indie game dev Cael O'Sullivan while COVID has closed all the theatres. How to Win was commissioned by Harrogate Theatres and HOME, Manchester.
This game is currently in development, and you can see its progress and give us your suggestions right now on our website.
The live story will be going on until the end of August 2020. Afterwards we'll be compiling all chapters into this Steam release, for you to play at your heart's content.
Check out the website for more info, and make sure to add us to your wishlist to get all future updates.
