Description official description

Waldo has a ticket to the Moon and needs the players help to get him to his destination.

Based on the popular Where's Waldo series of books. Your goal is to find Waldo in various pictures in order to progress through the game.

The pictures are still images the size of the screen in the Easy and Practice levels. In the Medium and Hard levels, the player has to scroll to the side to see the rest of the area. The directional buttons control a magnifying glass and once the player finds Waldo, they get to go to the next level and a new picture.

In the Practice difficulty level, there is no time limit but only the Train Station, Forest and Caves levels are available. The time limit for the other difficulty levels varies: Easy=959, Medium=659, and Hard=459.

A waste of 1's and 0's

The Good
The cartridge can be used as a doorstopper.

The Bad
The sprites are too damn small which makes it difficult to find Waldo. The cursor is too sensitive. The game can be completed in mere minutes.

The Bottom Line
Bethesda and THQ clearly didn't care about quality control when they released this in stores. Waldo can remain lost for all I care.

A kids game WAY past it's time, if it had one.

The Good
I haven't played this game in years. This game needs to be reviewed from a kids perspective since I doubt most adults would play a where's Waldo game of this type.I remember that I thought the graphics were fairly good and that I liked using the magnifying glass to look around.

The Bad
This game obviously didn't take much effort to do which is why it gets failing marks. The game play is of course veeery repetitive. In fact, the game could have been some sort of adventure game for kids (sort of like put put) and have been a lot better. Even if you put this game in the time line of the early nineties you still can see why it gets bad marks, it's just too repetitive and the game play is decidedly unoriginal.

The Bottom Line
This game is way past it's time and was only for very young Waldo fans. Now it's even less significant. Basically, this is no longer a valid game for modern gamers to play except for a little laugh or nostalgia.

Not worth playing

The Good
I will say the music is okay. Nothing amazing. There is one part where you have to guide a capsule to the exit while trying to grab an item. That part was fine.

The Bad
The rest of the game is not good because of the graphics and limited gameplay. When you start a level, you need to find Waldo. Guess right, next level. Guess wrong and you lose some time on the clock which I thought was fair enough. It's hard to find Waldo with bad looking graphics.

The Bottom Line
It's a game I do not recommend. Stay away. Also, it's a short game. If you're good, you might beat it in less than 20 minutes on the Easy setting. What about the other settings? Honestly, I can't answer that.

To be fair, there are worse games than Where's Waldo. Play a puzzle game like Adventures of Lolo instead.
