The Good
This game had pretty good graphics for a playstion game. The cutscenes were near movie quality and the gameplay was solid. Using Buzz's laser is pretty cool.
If you have seen the movie, you will notice many familiar places. Each level has you collect about 5 pizza planet tokens and occasionally a gadget. To earn tokens, you perform a task such as collecting 100 coins and giving them to Ham, finding five missing characters( Five of sarge's troops), defeat a mini-boss,solve a simple puzzle or just find one laying around. The controls are also tight and like a second nature.
The Bad
The gameplay can get slightly repetive and many of the challenges seem more like a treasure hunt then an action game. Although a challenging game, it may be dull to older gamers for obvious reasons. Occasionaly, a bug in the game will cause you to "fall" through the floor, forcing you to reset the machine or sit and watch Buzz fall through a black background. Finally, there is little reward for schlepping through the game. All you get is a cutscene from the movie. Very unrewarding.
The Bottom Line
An average game. Not a bad buy, but better games can be found. If you're a fan of the movie, you should get this.

Trivia
Banditos
There used to be enemies in this game called banditos who were Mexican stereotypes. People were so enraged, Activision recalled the game and removed the stereotype.
