Description
Traditional Board Games is a collection of six traditional board games for the BBC Micro and Electron. Each game allows for two-player play or versus the computer with varying levels of difficulty.
- Ba-Awa: The player moves rice seeds along boxes. It's end of the turn if the last seed falls into an empty box. The goal is to put three seeds in a box.
- Fox & Geese: Played on a cross-shaped board, one player controls a fox while the other is in charge of 13 geese. The fox tries to eat geese by jumping them to empty squares, while the geese try to trap the fox in a corner.
- Ming-Mang: Each player moves 14 pieces on an 8×8 board. If a player puts a piece on either side on an opponent's piece then they gain that piece.
- Six Mens Morris: Each player places six pieces on a board containing 16 positions. Pieces can be slid along lines, and when a player makes to three-in-a-row, an opponent piece can be removed.
- Tablut: Played on a 9×9 board, one player tries to move their king from the center of the board to the outside, while the attacking player tries to surround their opponent. The attacking player can remove an opponent piece by surrounding it on two sides with their pieces. The king must be surrounded on four sides for victory.
- Three Mens Morris: Each player places four pieces on a 3×3 board. One piece can be moved each turn with the goal to reach three-in-a-row vertically or horizontally.
