The game finds a balance between being serious (and sometimes even slightly scary) and having funny comments and Easter eggs (just like "Quest for Glory" did too).

A skilled herbalist can pick out edible mushrooms (unfortunately, no trippy mushroom poisoning animations in this game).

Homes of the Svartalfar (and their whole underground city) look like this...

...(after you complete the game, you gain access to bonus material, including some sketches, which also tells how the Svartalf city was originally planned to look like).

Places are gradually revealed on this map when the Heroine reaches them, the map also magically shows you where the current mission objective is found.

A Sorceress can play this magic minigame with Aurvandel (more difficult - at least at later levels - but also more logical than Erasmus' maze in "Quest for Glory").

This colorful sliding puzzle changes the layout of some passages in Svartalfheim.

The power of love restores spring in this garden and gives hope that the endless winter can be reverted.

A glimpse of the future: Brynnhild the Valkyrie leads the Heroine to Valhalla (I don't consider it a spoiler because it's not related to the game's plot itself).

Entering Nidavellir. Actually, the double stairs are a real pain - it seems that the same staircase in the city itself sometimes leads to one path and sometimes to the other...

More Easter eggs! - if you have enough Fast Talk skill, you can tell Arngrim a false story - and these particular ones come from classic games...

A Warrior-specific quest - this is the other side of the swamp with a beast the Warrior has to slay.

A Rogue-specific quest - the crazy stealing "mission" in Snorri's house. And by "crazy" I mean "you have to be very quick and very skilled".
