Brasoft was the first PC game distributor in Brazil. Founded in 1984 by Paulo Milliet Roque, the company's first product was the WordStar word processor, localized to the Brazilian market. In 1990 the company released the first licensed PC games in Brazil, from companies such as Maxis, Lucas Arts and ElectronicArts and Microprose. In 1998 the company was sold to Pi Editora Ltda., who kept using the Brasoft brand.
