Peter Moore is a British-American business executive.
Moore was senior vice president of marketing at Reebok International Ltd. He was later hired by Bernie Stolar into SEGA of America. He replaced him on 11 August 1999 and was responsible for overseeing SEGA’s video game business in North America, including the launch of the SEGA Dreamcast for the North American market. He was promoted to president and Chief Operating Officer of the company on 8 May 2000.
He joined Microsoft in January 2003, where he initially served as head of Xbox marketing and was later named as Corporate Vice President, Interactive Entertainment Business, Entertainment and Devices Division, a position in which he led both the Xbox and Games for Windows businesses. On 17 July 2007, EA issued a press release that Moore had agreed to leave the company for EA.
He became President of the EA Sports label at Electronic Arts on 4 September 2007 and held the position until 2011. He became EA's Chief Operating Officer in 2012. On 27 February 2017, he left EA and the gaming industry as a whole, when he was appointed as the CEO of the English football club Liverpool FC.
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree from Keele University, United Kingdom, and a master’s degree from California State University, Long Beach.
