BioWare Montreal is a game development studio based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is a BioWare studio next to other BioWare divisions, all owned by Electronic Arts. The studio was first announced on 2nd March 2009.
The studio was responsible for DLC in the Mass Effect series and it was the lead studio on Mass Effect: Andromeda (2017). Following the release the Montreal branch was reported to be downgraded to a support studio and in August 2017 EA confirmed that the team would be merged into Motive Studios, also an EA studio and located in the same city.
