Alien Breed: Special Edition 92
Description official descriptions
An interim between Alien Breed and its sequel. Gameplay is the same as its predecessor - each level is a maze to be navigated through while fighting off hordes of aliens. The Special Edition 92 includes 12 new levels and a bunch of new features: "dark mission" in which only the glowing blue eyes of the aliens are visible, a level with no aliens but the destruction sequence already initiated, ability to access levels by means of a code (no need to cheat to start the game where you failed).

Trivia
Bugs
On one level in a specific section you can get stuck in the scenery and can't get out. This is a well known error that upset a lot of people, as it meant you couldn't finish the game.
Commercials
Team 17 used to put promo pictures of its other titles on the game disks. Alien Breed Special Edition 92 contains several promo pictures from Superfrog and a special tune. Watching it is not mandatory and requires the player to press the fire button during the load of the game from disk 1. Without pressing the button the game loads as any other game.
End Sequence
As opposed to its predecessor, "Special Edition 92" does not contain a proper ending. There are some words from the authors that they did not have enough space to put something interesting. Still, they had space to put one of the most advanced promo sequence in Amiga history.
